Antique French Louis Philippe Walnut Console Table with Grey Marble Top – 19th Century

Elegant French console table in the Louis Philippe style, dating from the second half of the 19th century and crafted from walnut with a warm golden tone. The piece features a refined veined grey marble top and a practical drawer beneath the top.

The marble top, with its shaped and gracefully contoured profile, rests on a curved apron embellished at the centre with a richly carved cartouche featuring flowers and foliage, finely hand-carved in relief. The drawer beneath the top has a clean, polished front that beautifully highlights the natural grain of the walnut.

The console is supported by two imposing double-scroll carved legs, richly decorated with foliate and floral motifs, together with two rear sabre legs. The legs are connected by a shaped lower shelf, providing stability while enhancing the elegant proportions of the composition.
