French secretaire desk chest from the second half of the 1700s, Transition style, in bois de rose wood . It has a white marble top and rich inlay on the flap door depicting characters and with a walnut root rosette. The drawer, like the two doors that make up the secretaire, are edged with inlay threading. Restored.
