French Louis Philippe Dining Table in Walnut – Second Half of the 19th Century
Elegant French dining table in the Louis Philippe style, dating from the second half of the 19th century and entirely crafted from walnut with a warm amber-toned finish.
The fixed oval top showcases beautiful natural wood grain and is finished with a refined moulded edge that emphasizes its elegant profile. Beneath the top is a wide, plain apron that gives the table a clean and harmonious appearance.
The table rests on a sturdy central carved column, opening into a four-footed base with richly hand-carved scroll-shaped feet. The sinuous curves of the feet are enhanced with finely carved foliate and floral motifs, characteristic of fine French cabinetmaking of the Louis Philippe period.
