Large freestanding mirror from the second half of the 19th century

Important French mirror from the second half of the 19th century, in late Empire / Napoleon III style, entirely gilded with gold leaf.
The frame, of considerable size, has a shaped profile and geometric relief decoration along the perimeter.
The upper part is embellished with a central medallion with a classic profile and ornamental elements in the shape of winged griffins, also repeated at the base.
The ensemble, of great scenographic impact, reflects the neoclassical and mythological taste typical of the Empire period, reinterpreted with decorative richness during the era of Napoleon III.
