Splendid French wall clock dating from the second half of the 18th century, crafted in rosewood and characterized by an elegantly shaped case with the sinuous and asymmetrical lines typical of the Louis XV style.

The structure is enriched with an impressive decorative ensemble of finely chased gilt bronze, featuring elaborate scrolls, rocaille motifs, floral elements, and ornamental details that harmoniously frame the case. At the top stands an elegant allegorical figure in gilt bronze, while the lower section features a refined composition with figures and rocaille motifs, giving the clock a highly theatrical and imposing appearance.

The richly decorated circular dial features Roman numerals and ornamental subsidiary dials. It is set within the rosewood case and enhanced by an elegant gilt bronze surround. The composition is completed by a shaped base and an elaborate decorative pendant, reflecting the sumptuous taste of fine French cabinetmaking of the 18th century.
